My idea of the month is liminal
I’ve always liked this word, meaning ‘at a threshold’, with all its deeper connotations in anthropology. This liminal scene is the astonishing Snettisham Beach in Norfolk, where land merges into sand into mudflats into sea into sky: threshold after threshold after threshold.
