Idea for November 2022: squircle

My idea of the month is the squircle

So much of my work this year has been about resolving differences with clients - sometimes almost irreconcilable differences. Differences between the organisation’s internal aims and its wider public benefit. Or between traditionalist and progressivist perspectives. Or between short-term results and long-term ambitions, Which often gets framed as squaring the circle. So it’s encouraging to learn that circles can be squared - and that there’s a geometrical form called a squircle that does it. And it’s a rather pleasing shape. Used, in fact, by the Co-op’s rebranding five years ago. Image from Wikipedia.
